SERVING FOR A CAUSE: Tenista Pilipinas, OLPS and CSA-Bulacan ink long-term pact for charity tennis tourney
CSA, BULACAN — Local recreational tennis is about to get a massive boost, and it is all for a higher calling.
Tenista Pilipinas (TP) has officially joined forces with Colegio de San Agustin (CSA) Bulacan to host the upcoming Love and Service Charity Singles Tournament, rallying the local racket community for the benefit of the Our Lady of Penafrancia Seminary.
Beyond the baseline rallies and cross-court winners, the hardcourt action serves a much greater purpose. The tournament aims to intertwine the community's passion for the sport with a unified mission of giving back, providing crucial support to the seminary's continued spiritual and community endeavors.
But this is not just a one-and-done exhibition. In a massive win for Bulakeño netters, organizers announced that this partnership is a continuous agreement. CSA-Bulacan has committed to opening its gates and serving as the official home court for Tenista Pilipinas for as long as the organization chooses to hold its future tournaments in the province.
This landmark sporting initiative was made possible through the backing of the institutions' top brass. The tennis community extends its deepest gratitude to Rev. Fr. Johnny Esmilla OSA, CSA Vice Rector, for his vision in opening the institution's top-notch sporting doors to the players.
Equal praise was given to Rev. Fr. Philippe Gallanosa, Rector of the Our Lady of Penafrancia Seminary, for his inspiring leadership for the tournament's chosen beneficiary, alongside CSA Bulacan Facilities Coordinator Nelson Nopal, who has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the school's courts are in tournament-ready condition.
With the nets set and the partnership sealed, the stage is ready. It is time for the local tennis community to grab their racquets, hit the courts, and serve up some love for a worthy cause.
