Tenista Pilipinas, Sorsogon Seminary Partner for Dual-Venue Charity Tennis Tournament This October

SORSOGON CITY — The Our Lady of Peñafrancia Seminary (OLPS) has teamed up with tennis organization Tenista Pilipinas to host a fundraising singles tournament on October 17 and 18, 2026.

Every peso raised from the two-day event will go directly to the OLPS community. Located in Sorsogon City, OLPS serves as both a minor and major seminary under the Diocese of Sorsogon, providing education and spiritual formation for young men preparing for the priesthood.

To accommodate participants from both Southern and Central Luzon, matches will run simultaneously at two venues: Sorsogon City and Colegio San Agustin (CSA) in Bulacan.

Organizers noted that while the event is powered by Tenista Pilipinas, it will operate as a standalone charity tournament. It will however yield ranking points for the official TP Tour circuit. The competition is open to players of all faiths, beliefs, and skill levels.

For Tenista Pilipinas, the partnership serves as a vehicle to give back to the broader community by using tennis to support the education and formation of future church leaders.
